OUR PROGRAMS & FEES

 

The educational programs at Melfort Daycare Co-op were created with our children’s needs in mind:
to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment.

Full-Time Space

Depending on your family's schedule, our Full-time space might be the right fit for you. 

Site 1 (7:00 am to 6:00 pm) - 43 spaces. This site accepts children between the ages of 18 months up to 6 years of age.

Site 2 (7:00 am to 6:00 pm) - 32 spaces. This site accepts children between the ages of 6 weeks and up to 6 years of age (however, this site only has 1 school-age spot and typically only goes to 5 years of age).

Site 3 (7:00 am to 6:00pm) - 30 spaces. This site runs the school-aged program for children aged 6 to 12 years old. It operates before and after school during the school year and full-time during school breaks and summer holidays as per the NESD calendar. Any dates where childcare services are required outside of these dates will have an additional charge associated. Childcare services will also only be provided outside of the NESD calendar schedule, if possible, for the daycare.

Part-Time Space

As of April 1, 2023, due to the substantial waitlist the daycare has for full-time care, we will no longer be offering part-time spaces. At any point in the future when there is not a substantial waitlist the MDC’s Board of Directors will re-evaluate offering part-time childcare services again.

Casual Space

Casual space is limited to 9 days per month, after which you will be charged the full-time fee. Caregivers of children with casual spaces are required to contact the daycare the afternoon before the morning of the day they would like to use the daycare. If a space is available, their child(ren) will be accepted into care.

*We currently have a 1.5 - 2 year waitlist, depending upon the age of your child(ren). If you are considering using our daycare services, we highly recommend signing up on the waitlist as soon as possible.

INFANT, TRANSITION & TODDLER

Your child matters to us. Each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.

FULL-TIME SPACES

  • Infant (6 weeks to 18 months)- $217.50/month

  • Transition/ Toddler (19 months to 30 months) - $217.50/month

  • Preschool (31 months to last day of kindergarten) - $217.50/month​

​

CASUAL SPACES (maximum of 9 days per month before being charged at a full-time rate)

  • Infant: $10 per day 

  • Transition/Toddler: $10 per day

  • Preschool: $10 per day

PRE-SCHOOL & SCHOOL AGE

We understand the need for reliable childcare services for children up to age 12.

​

GRADE 1 TO 12 YEARS OF AGE

  • Full Time: $425.00/month

  • Casual: $8.14/ hour (minimum 3 hours/day charged)
